O-levels Exams Tips
The reason for this topic is just to share some of my experience.since i have just gone through the O level era last year, here are some tips that might help you.
Lame but logical:
This is 1 of the sentence that I always repeat in my mind when I am sitting on the examination chair. 1 of the many “motivation” words that I gave to myself before each paper.
Believe on yourself: When you are serious about doing well, when you are serious about your dreams and when you are serious about conquering your exams, YOU WILL FEEL THIS FIRE. You will crunch your fist and tell yourself ” THIS IS IT! A1 AND NOTHING ELSE!” Always believe in yourself. Never set limits to yourself.
PAY ATENTION in class. dont talk and talk and talk the whole time in class. most obvious rule, but not obvious enough for some to obey.
DONT PROCASTINATE. seriously dont! it really sucks to do homework during the weekends, so do as much homework as possible on the day you received it, even if it is due next week. the thing about sec 4&5 homework is that they are normally more time-consuming. usually, you would have to do projects, presentations, or a lot of nasty questions from your papers.
WRITE FASTER, So that you can copy all your notes in time. this is especially important when you take humanities subjects. however, i only experienced extreme fast writing in literature, not history, since notes were given out for history. i always had a bad habit of asking my friend for the lit notes after class, which in the end, i have no time to copy pages of notes.
READ UP ON YOUR NEXT CHAPTER. So that you know what on earth is going on. if not you can really get first prize for being a goof for not knowing any right thing at the right time.
EXERCISE! Okay not that i love running that i must state this tip, but keep yourself happy and stress-free. besides, everyone feels happy and relaxed after PE right? **unless you are having a test after the PE session**
SWEET DREAMS! You might think that sleeping late is a good idea, but it is so not a good idea …for obvious reasons.
SOME SPECIAL TIPS OF CHEMISTRY: I would like to cover Significant Figures in Mole Calculations for Chemistry. Once I was Studying with my class-fellows I noticed that they are not very certain on the use of significant figures when they leave their final answers for Mole Calculations. Many times, we see students having great understanding and strength in Mole Calculations, but they lost valuable marks due to the inaccuracy of the final answers.
–> Significant figures are NOT the same as Decimal places. For example, 127.09 are to two decimal places but to five significant figures. Zeros before any definite numbers do not count as significant figures, so 0.00000048 is to two significant figures.
When doing calculations, your final answers to each section should be to the correct number of significant figures. Generally, it should be to the same number of significant figures as the data given in the question. You may get penalized if you write your answers to an excess number of significant figures, e.g. 3.26758 instead of 3.27.
Tips for Graphs
When I was doing graph topics with some class-fellows. And some were complaining how much they have to memorize until I revealed to them some of the Underground Secrets on Mastery Of Graphs. They were amazed and amused.
Our palms have the exponential graph embedded on them! Now you have 1 less graph to take care of. Just ensure you keep your hands nice and clean so that the palm lines stay on for you forever.
When the need to draw arises, flip that palm up 
Warning: You ought to do it tactfully in case the invigilator suspects you of cheating.
Okay, those are the top tips i can think of. I know they sound so cliched, but they are important. so all the best to the students for 2008!! you can do it just dont give up.
Just do it, even when the homework is really too much and too tedious.
